In my book bag

Spook Country, anything by Westerfeld, I started with So Yesterday, the library now owns 8 titles and will add more soon, Moblie Guide to New York in preparation for my trip to visit my son, and Ain't Myth Behaving, just for fun.  09/22/07

Weeding has done it to me again;  last night I took home Autumn across America by Edwin Teale, Dinosaurs in the attic by Preston, A short history of a small place by Pearson, and Dominknitrix by Jennifer Stafford.  I sampled all last night and decieded on Dinosaurs in the attic first.  Douglas Preston's book about the American Museum of Natural History and it's begining collections is beautiful and very thought provoking.  He describes the early collectors and their expedition trials.

Only time for very short comments, reading for the discussion group has again birthed a long list for me,"The Conch Bearer" by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni and 3 more of her books on order.  What wonderful magic she weaves within the oh so human stories.  Several cook books are needed to follow the books of "You are what You Eat" and I stared with the Frugal Gourmet On Our Immigrant Ancestors, added "Cod" by Kurlansky.  "Making Money" by  Pratchett and "Gifts" by LeGuin just because.  01/25/08
